Introduction
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Remember, if this issue shows up in your promotions folder, add it to your main inbox so you don’t miss any future issues.
THIS WILL BE THE LAST “THROWBACK” POST for a while, I promise 🙏. We’ll be back with new tools soon. I wanted a chance for my newer subs to read older content. With that, let’s take a look at Tactiq again 👇 .
Tactiq
🧠 What Is It?
Tactiq is a Chrome extension that’ll remember everything that’s said during your online meetings. Whether it be Zoom, Google Meets, or MS Teams, it’ll transcribe your notes and turn them into searchable, savable notes. It’s like having a personal assistant every call (minus the awkward intros 😬).
Real-time transcription inside your call window.
Highlight and save key moments live.
AI-generated meeting summaries, action items, and quotes.
Integrates with Notion, Google Docs, HubSpot, Slack, and more.
Stores a library of past meeting notes, searchable by keyword.
⚙ How Do You Use It?
What’s the tactic with Tactiq?
Install the Chrome extension from the Web Store.
Join a call on your (or your boss’s) favorite meeting platform.
Tactiq opens up in the sidebar with real-time transcription during your call.
Highlight key moments, jot notes, or tag action items while the meeting happens (it’s like having another pair of hands).
After the meeting ends, Tactiq generates AI-Powered summaries, including
Key talking points
Action items
Quotes from speakers
Custom notes you added
You can then export everything to Notion, Google Docs, or other connected Tools. Or you can just view them from your personal Tactiq dashboard.
🧹 What Does it Replace?
I mean, when you basically have another pair of hands, what does Tactiq not replace? Twice the fingers means twice the focus and twice your, you guessed it…productivity.
Replaying your meeting recordings for notes (of course, you’ll be on 2x speed to save time, which means you’ll miss whatever it is you were looking for, and then you’ll have to play it back again).
Assigning action items manually after every call.
Hiring a meeting assistant (💀) or using clunky transcription software.
Relying on memory (You learned your lesson the first time, I hope).
And, of course, USING YOUR REAL HANDS to type notes. You can’t divide your attention between the meeting and writing, come on now.
🤫 Tulio’s Tips
5 Tabs Rule: When you’re doing focused work, limit yourself to 5 tabs. It keeps you from wandering into the abyss.
15-Minute Start Timer: Procrastination drowning you out? Set a 15-minute timer and only commit to starting. Most times, momentum will carry you further.
Rehearse Tomorrow Day: At the end of your day, spend 5 minutes mapping out what tomorrow actually looks like. Tasks, time blocks, appointments, etc. Future you will thank you.
